Data Conversion
ETA can help to make your transition easier by assisting with data conversion. If your existing system can export data, we can work with the files to import them into ETA applications. This process can be a tremendous time saver and can also help to insure accuracy in the transition.
Many systems are complex in that they are either outdated or use one-off technologies. Many systems also build in guards that prohibit data from being extracted. It is for these reasons that we cannot guarantee that all system data can be extracted. We are more than happy to provide our customers with a conversion program to our applications given that the existing system data can be extracted. Conversion programs can only be written if the data is available.
It is also important to mention the quality of the extracted data. While a conversion can be extremely helpful, additional entry of information into the records might be required. If you decide to key the data, it is very important that you have the printed data available for data entry purposes.
